The discipline of media studies is dedicated to historical, cultural, and linguistic analysis of how ideas are communicated in the mass media. The Center for Advanced Media Studies (CAMS) facilitates this study through establishing fellowships and residencies; organizing workshops, lecture series, and screenings/gallery installations; and broadly supporting the growing field of advanced media studies. A diverse affiliated faculty from a variety of departments teach the courses and certificate program offered by the center.
