Each year, the CAMS steering committee nominates two PhD candidates for one-year. The stipend amount is comparable to other amounts in the social sciences and humanities. The fellows, who can come from any discipline in the School of Arts and Sciences, are freed from other obligations in order to focus on a media-related aspect of their research and studies. During the fellowship year, CAMS hosts the students for a lecture on the topic of their research.

Applicants must have a Krieger School faculty member from their particular academic division sponsor their project and bring it before the CAMS steering committee.
Guidelines for submission materials:applicants send in or email a small dossier consisting of a CV, a 3 page description of their dissertation/research project focusing on media theory, and a letter of endorsement by a faculty sponsor/advisor.

Applications for the 2016-2017 are being accepted at this time. The deadline for final submissions is February 29, 2016. Please send your application and materials to Dr. Bernadette Wegenstein, berna@jhu.edu
