The Master of Science in Government Analytics program prepares students to become leaders in the data revolution. Students will develop expertise in analytical methods that are increasingly relied upon by government agencies, non-profit organizations, and the private sector. Through the use of cutting-edge tools and skills, students will be able to address contemporary political, policy, and governance challenges.
The Johns Hopkins MS in Government Analytics curriculum provides students with a broad set of foundational skills in statistical analysis and offers the opportunity to develop expertise in a specific analytical area. The program offers concentrations in statistical analysis, geospatial analysis, political behavior and policy analysis, and public management. No prior coursework in quantitative methods is necessary.
The schedule for completing the degree is flexible. Students in the Washington, D.C., area can attend classes on the ground at our Washington, D.C., center, which is located near Dupont Circle. Classes are held on weekday evenings. In addition, anyone around the world can take classes online. Or students can choose to take a mix of onsite courses and online courses.
Most students who work full time take two courses per term (fall, spring, and summer) and complete the degree in two years.
We also offer a five-course Certificate in Government Analytics.
Through the Advanced Academic Programs (AAP), the Johns Hopkins University Zanvyl Krieger School of Arts and Sciences offers flexible graduate degrees and certificate programs that respond to the unique educational requirements of working adults seeking to pursue their professional and personal development through academic exploration.
Onsite courses are offered in the evening and on Saturdays to fit your busy schedule. Courses are offered in the fall, spring, and summer terms.
AAP offers classes across four sites: Homewood campus in Baltimore, MD; Washington, D.C., Center near Dupont Circle; Montgomery County Campus in Rockville, MD; and online.
All programs are accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
