Summer Scholarships in Public Health
Public Health has become one of the leading undergraduate majors at Johns Hopkins. The program attracts a large number of talented and enthusiastic students, many of whom plan to go on to advanced work in medicine, public health, and medical research. The Summer Scholarship Program, which has been funded by IAEGHSBE, provides these students with research opportunities that they could not otherwise afford to undertake. Projects are typically located in foreign countries, for example: India, Haiti, South Africa, Bangladesh, and Nicaragua. The Scholarships enable the students to travel to those sites and complete their supervised field work.
