On Friday, April 1st, the JHU Career Center hosted its first event intended for international studies majors to discuss professional communication and work on resumes for careers in international affairs. Students spent time revising resumes and learning about networking, the internship search process, and JHU’s use of Handshake, and were later able to follow up with career coaches to receive further advice on resumes and cover letters. The program allowed the Career Center staff to connect with students in the International Studies Program who might not otherwise have made use of the Career Center resources, and paved the way for more events geared towards international studies majors in the future!
