The Aronson Center Speaker Series brings faculty from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) to the Homewood campus in Baltimore to present their research, discuss current events, and interact with students. A division of The Johns Hopkins University, SAIS is a global institution of international affairs with a presence on three continents. The school was established in Washington, D.C., in 1943, opened its campus in Bologna, Italy, in 1955 and in 1986 initiated one of the first Western university programs in the People’s Republic of China in Nanjing. SAIS faculty are among the world’s preeminent experts in the fields of international relations and economics.
