Johns Hopkins Enterprise Directory (JHED)
JHED is the online directory system for all Hopkins employees. Each employee is assigned a JHED log-in ID (sometimes called a JHED LID), and each employee must establish their own JHED password. Access to enterprise applications that are password-protected is done using your JHED ID and password. Faculty and staff JHED accounts are typically established when data is fed from the payroll system to the JHED system. In otherwords, faculty and staff who are on the University's payroll will have a JHED account by virtue of that fact. Students' JHED records are driven by their enrollment records, not by payroll records. Department administrators have the authority to create ad hoc JHED records for appointees who are not going to be on the JHU payroll during their period of appointment.
