Orientation

The Office of Graduate Affairs and Admissions coordinates various graduate student welcome events for new full time Arts and Sciences and Engineering graduate students each August. This program includes an orientation on school-wide policies and services available to graduate students, campus tours, the International Graduate Student Bridge Program, and other welcome activities. While new graduate students are required to attend the orientation program, it is not intended to take the place of a departmental orientation.  The Office of Graduate Affairs and Admissions website lists all orientation-related information each year.

New students who will be Teaching Assistants are also required to attend a mandatory TA Orientation, also scheduled prior to the beginning of each academic year.  The TA Orientation program is coordinated by the Center for Educational Resources.  Details regarding this program can be found on the TA Training Institute webpage.
