Undergraduate Admissions

The Undergraduate Admissions Office is responsible for the entire undergraduate admissions process.  Their staff collects, reviews, and decides on applications.  They also send the notification letters to all of the applicants.

The Undergraduate Admissions Office hosts several Open House events during the year.  The Open House events that take place during the fall semester are typically geared toward prospective applicants and their families.  There is a date for prospective applicants who are interested in the Natural Sciences and another date for prospective applicants interested in the Social Sciences and/or Humanities.  The Undergraduate Admissions Office staff will contact department chairs and administrative staff prior to these events in an effort to recruit faculty from each department to represent their department, major, or program on Open House day.

The Open House events that take place in the spring are typically geared toward applicants who have been admitted to JHU.  Each department, major, and/or program is offered the opportunity to host presentation or Q&A sessions on these dates.  Undergraduate Admissions staff contacts department chairs and administrative staff prior to these events to coordinate the details.

The Undergraduate Admissions Office coordinates campus tours for visiting prospective students.

Their website has more information on campus tours.
