Michelle Nakra ’96 was recently named director of global marketing at Urban Decay Cosmetics. After receiving a degree in biology from Hopkins, Nakra went on to get an MBA in marketing from Yale University. She has worked for companies such as Giorgio Armani, Ralph Lauren, Lancôme, Estée Lauder, and Arcade Beauty.

Mark Meadows ’11 has just released a new album called “To The People.” Although he majored in psychological and brain sciences, Meadows ended up pursuing his first love: music. He is a jazz pianist and in August he will play the lead role of Jelly Roll Morton in a Broadway musical called “Jelly’s Last Jam,” which will run at the Signature Theater in Arlington, Va.

Amy Soergel ’07 recently opened an organic, gluten-free, and allergen-free market on her family’s farm north of Pittsburgh. Called Naturally Soergel’s, the market offers diverse food options for people who require special diets. A public health major while at Hopkins, Soergel was motivated to open the store after being diagnosed with celiac disease and ulcerative colitis.
