Elizabeth Patton's Great Books at Hopkins course last fall included an in-class performance from Purcell's Dido and Aeneas by Elizabeth Hungerford and Jason Buckwalter, of the Peabody Chamber Opera. The opera is based on a story from Virgil's Aeneid, one of the works Patton's class explored during the term.
