Manu Madhav, a postdoctoral fellow in the Knierim lab, was one of the recipients of the inaugural Postdoctoral Discovery Fellows Program of the Kavli Neuroscience Discovery Institute of Johns Hopkins University. This award, in collaboration with the Cowan lab of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, will support Manu’s research using virtual reality technology, neurophysiology, and engineering analysis principles to uncover the relationship between internal brain dynamics and external sensory input in creating neural representations underlying navigation and memory.
