The Writing Seminars

This year, the Zanvyl Krieger School of Arts and Sciences is home to an exceptional group of scholars and scientists hired in four departments and the Language Teaching Center. These new faculty members have diverse research interests spanning the humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences. Among them are three assistant professors brought here as part of the school's new Global Change Science Initiative (which includes an undergraduate major and a graduate focus in this field); an expert in legal and political anthropology whose dissertation explored the customary laws and chieftaincy in Mozambique; and a cognitive scientist specializing in formal semantics. The school also welcomes a new director of the Language Teaching Center, a critical component of studies in several fields, including international studies and East Asian studies.

The School of Arts and Sciences welcomes its newest faculty members and is pleased to introduce them to the Hopkins community. To read about them, click here or on the department names at right.
