On Tuesday, August 12, WYPR radio’s program “Midday with Dan Rodricks” hosted Stephen Teret of JHSPH on the topic of smart guns.

Personalized guns, or smart guns, are firearms designed to operate only for their authorized users. Gun control activists argue that these types of weapons could save thousands of lives a year. We’ll look at smart gun technology and their policy implications with Stephen Teret, co-author of a new Abell Report on smart guns, and the founding director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Policy and Research; and the director of the Hopkins Center for Law and the Public’s Health.
