The Development of South Korea’s National Health System
This project aims to address aspect of primary health care system in relation to the development of South Korea’s health system. Although South Korea has a universal health system that is known to be effective and affordable, the current system lacks long-term sustainability. This structural problem is exacerbated by South Korea’s increasing rate of aging population and cases of chronic illnesses. In order to address this concern, a certain degree of primary health care system must be adopted to ensure sustainability within its system. However due to socio-economic and political factors, we believe that introducing primary health care system in South Korea would be very unlikely.
