Institutional Change in the Management Consulting Industry after the 2007-2008 Financial Crisis
The goal of my research project is to investigate the institutional changes that occured within the Management Consulting industry after the Financial Crisis. This project is a continuation of the book, “The World’s Newest Profession: Management Consulting in the Twentieth Century” by Professor Christopher D. McKenna, who was a student of my mentor, Louis Galambos. The project maps the development of the Management Consulting Industry until the Financial Crisis, and the changes that occured because of the Crisis. These changes were the development of new consulting models, the creation of projects to help financial institutions to deal with new government regulation, and last, the creation of one-stop-shop consulting firms through new mergers and acquisitions within the industry.
