Joe Martin, Instructor JOE MARTIN (MFA, Ph.D) is an award winning playwright, whose works for stage have been published and produced in the US, Canada and Europe, as well as a director of forty productions. He is a translator of the plays of August Strindberg and Mexico’s Juan Tovar, among other dramatists. Martin taught post-modernin theatre, theatre theory, “philosophy and theatre” as well as a full curriculum in theatre history at Catholic University of America from 2002-2006 and for ten years at American University–where he is currently a Fellow in Arts and Conflict Resolution at the School of International Service. A three-time Fulbright recipient, for which he directed productions and taught in Eastern Europe 2000–2001, and in the Middle East in 2011, he has been a recipient of two different Rockefeller foundation grants his work in theatre. | |
