Project Description

The goal of the study was to explore the knowledge, attitude, and opinions of tuberculosis (TB) patients in Yangon, Myanmar, and discover issues through recurrent themes. These issues included accessibility and availability of TB diagnosis and treatment, quality of services, cultural influences, ideological values, and other factors that might impede or motivate patients to continue or discontinue treatment. The study was conducted through one-on-one interviews among individuals who have completed treatment, are undergoing treatment, or have prematurely stopped treatment.
