Assistant Professor of Africana Studies 

The Center for Africana Studies at Johns Hopkins University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor who researches African Diaspora populations and focuses on migration, health, and citizenship. Candidates’ work should deeply engage black feminisms, sexuality, and/or black queer studies. We seek applications from scholars using the approaches of the social sciences, with a preference for scholars trained in Africana/Black studies. The successful candidate will hold an appointment in Africana Studies and the department most closely related to their research and training. Must have a Ph.D. in hand by August 2022. The Center for Africana Studies is committed to conducting a broad and inclusive search for a candidate who will contribute to the overall diversity and excellence of the academic community.
