The Center for Africana Studies is pleased to host \u201cA Taste of Black Freedom,\u201d our 2022-23 symposium that explores the history, politics, and knowledges of black foodways in Baltimore, with local chefs, activists, restauranteurs, and scholars. The symposium also features the exhibit, Black Foodways: A Culinary Diaspora<\/em>, which will be on the main level of Eisenhower Library, featuring historic and contemporary cookbooks from the private collections of W. Paul Coates, Toni Tipton-Martin, and the Hopkins\u2019 special collections library.<\/p>\n\n\n
