At our November 1st, 2024 seminar we will host Professor Felipe Antunes de Oliveira, for a discussion of his book, Dependency Crisis in Brazil and Argentina. A Critique of Market and State Utopias (University of Pittsburgh Press).

The Fall 2024 Arrighi Center seminar is focused on the theme of “Race, Capitalism and Development” and is led by Professors Zophia Edwards and InĂ©s Valdez. The seminar meets weekly on Fridays at 1:30 pm (Baltimore time) and is open to JHU students, faculty, postdocs, visiting scholars, as well as friends in Baltimore and around the world.
