Here you will find resources, opportunities, funding, experiential education and how to be involved with the David S. Olton Program in Behavioral Biology. If you have something to share with Behavioral Biology please email Dr. Kisi Bohn. We have an amazing Undergraduate Behavioral Biology Steering Committee composed of students like you! Do you have questions or suggestions? You are welcome to email kbohn1@jhu.edu or one of your peers on the steering committee. We hope to see or hear from you soon!

Be on the lookout for our upcoming department events on the Events page! It also has the latest weekly email.

The Behavioral Biology Steering Committee (BBSC) consists of passionate students that contribute their input and voices to the behavioral biology program. Our committee meets every two weeks during the semester with Dr. Kirsten Bohn, Dr. Andrew Gallup, and Max Keller to discuss student concerns, curriculum, new possible courses, and more! The BBSC plans several social, academic, and career-focused events each semester for all BB students to attend.

Please feel free to contact anyone on the BBSC to voice any ideas, programs suggestions, questions, or concerns that you would like to be addressed!

From our steering committee:

Co-Lead

Class of 2026 | Behavioral Biology Major, Psychology Minor

apayton3@jhu.edu

Activities: Mu Psi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Social Action Chair, Clinical ED Research Assistant, MNF Volunteer, PILOT Leader

Fav Campus Spot: Garland Patio

Fun fact: I have a red belt in karate!

Co-Lead

Class of 2026 | Behavioral Biology & Neuroscience Majors

lkeefe3@jhu.edu

Activities: Whitewater Kayaking Instructor, Outdoor Pursuits Marketing Director, Internal Events Chair for Alumni Student Ambassadors, Nu Rho Psi Alumni Relations Director, Research Assistant in Smith Lab at the School of Medicine, Hop-On Harm Reduction Volunteer, One Love Campus Ambassador, Kappa Alpha Theta Member

Fav Campus Spot: Gilman Reading Room or the Rec!

Fun fact: I love run and whitewater kayak!

Event Planner

Class of 2028 | Behavioral Biology Major and Economics Minor

bngo6@jh.edu

Activities: School of Public Health Researcher, JHU Study Consultant, Alumni Student Ambassador, Hop-On Harm Volunteer

Fav Campus Spot: Keyser Quad

Fun fact: My favorite vegetable is ube.

NRP Representative

Class of 2026 | Behavioral Biology & Psychology Majors

CIhemeb1@jh.edu

Activities: OCI Session Lead, PILOT Leader, FYM, Research Assistant w/ Canine Mind Collaborative, Violet Project Volunteer

Fav Campus Spot: Levering Lounge

Fun fact: I love to hangout with friends, sing, and dance in my free time.

Event Planner

Class of 2027 | Behavioral Biology and Earth & Planetary Science Majors, Physics Minor

gpersia2@jh.edu

Activities: Advocates for Reproductive and Sexual Health Club Event Planner, Maryland Science Olympiad Club VP, Lab Leader w/ Canine Minds Collaborative Lab, CIIP Intern, Cooke Lab Research Assistant, Tennis Club, BIT, SARU Peer Navigator

Fav Campus Spot: Quad in front of Gilman when it’s sunny!

Fun fact: I LOVE to fish and SCUBA dive!
