Students who meet the criteria for honors will receive a special notation in the graduation program and on their transcripts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An Honors Thesis<\/strong> approved by your faculty mentor is required to receive honors in addition to a 3.5 GPA and six credits of research. The honors thesis requires that you provide significant independent contributions<\/em> to your research project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the semester prior to the semester of graduation, you must submit an Honors Application form<\/strong> which includes an abstract and must be signed by your faculty mentor no later than the final day to drop classes (approximately 1 month into the semester). More materials will be required the semester you graduate. See below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Criteria and Due Dates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Departmental honors are conferred upon graduating seniors who meet all of the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n
Cumulative and major GPA of at least 3.5.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Six credits of research related to Behavioral Biology.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Honors Thesis<\/a><\/strong> approved by the research mentor and a Behavioral Biology Faculty member.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

The semester prior to graduation by the last day to drop classes.\n
\n
Honors Application Form<\/strong><\/a> Rename with your name in the title. NOTE YOUR RESEARCH MENTOR MUST SIGN THIS and it includes your thesis Title and Abstract. Email to Max Keller<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
The semester you graduate by the last day to add regular classes:
Honors Excel Workbook<\/strong><\/a> Rename with your name in the title and email to Max Keller<\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/li>\n\n\n\n
The semester you graduate by the last day to drop classes.\n

A draft of your honors thesis must be emailed to the DUS (Dr. Bohn<\/a>), with your PI and Max Keller<\/a> cc’d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Your complete thesis, approved by your PI must be submitted to the DUS by the end of the semester. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
