The research&#8211;with contributions from behavioral biology undergraduates Ike Enenemoh, Alexa Earls, and Dean Sheehan&#8211;was also picked up by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2020\/11\/03\/us\/bats-predict-future-study-scn-trnd\/index.html\">CNN<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The paper shows that bats\u2019 echolocation integrates acoustic snapshots over time to build prediction models of a moving auditory target\u2019s trajectory, and enable prey capture under conditions of uncertainty.
