Lauren Maytin, a sophomore behavioral biology major, is lead author in a recently published study on young adult’s attitudes and perceptions toward COVID-19 digital surveillance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The study found that while the majority of young adults think that COVID-19 is a public health crisis, but less than half are willing to participate in mobile-based or other digital surveillance that could help control the spread of COVID-19. She completed the research as part of a summer internship with Epstein Health, and thinks the research might help schools and universities understand their students and create safer environments.
