Course description: Over the past three decades, East Asia has been the most dynamic region in the world with a remarkable record of high and sustained economic growth. Using East Asia as a case study, this course will allow students to learn and appreciate different scholarly perceptions on developmental economics critical to East Asia; Improve their “economic” writing and oral presentation skills, and strengthen their ability to evaluate information, question assumptions, and draw conclusions based on a broad portfolio of economic data and opinions.
