Registration Now Open for SOUL Courses

Register now for the special opportunities for undergraduate learning (SOUL) course, Being an Economist, Focusing on East Asia. The course will be held Tuesdays from 3-4:50 p.m. in Shaffer 202. The instructor is Dr. Dore. SOUL courses run from Oct. 22 to Dec. 7.

Course description: Over the past three decades, East Asia has been the most dynamic region in the world with a remarkable record of high and sustained economic growth. Using East Asia as a case study, this course will allow students to learn and appreciate different scholarly perceptions on developmental economics critical to East Asia; Improve their “economic” writing and oral presentation skills, and strengthen their ability to evaluate information, question assumptions, and draw conclusions based on a broad portfolio of economic data and opinions.
