The Freeman Chair in China Studies at CSIS is recruiting a full-time, paid intern who can provide dedicated support for research related to China’s economic issues, during the period from June 3, 2019 to September 7, 2019. The Freeman Chair is dedicated to delivering informed public policy debate, expert briefings, and strategic policy recommendations on China and East Asia. Key research areas include U.S.-China relations, cross-Strait relations, Chinese domestic politics, and Chinese foreign policy. An ideal candidate will have substantive knowledge on contemporary China’s economy and policy process, particularly on issues related to technology, and familiarity with how to find and analyze primary Chinese documents and data. Because of the fast-paced work environment, interns should be motivated self-starters that are able to engage in a wide variety of analytic and logistical tasks.
