The East Asian Studies Program at Johns Hopkins University seeks to appoint a senior scholar (at the rank of associate or full professor), working on religion in East Asia. We invite applications from candidates in any relevant discipline or area of expertise, including but not limited to, trans-regional Asian and\/or transnational religious movements, translational studies, religion and environment, or gender and religion. Candidates should have a strong scholarly record and teaching experience, excellent language skills, and be prepared to teach a range of graduate and undergraduate courses related to East Asian religions, as well as to supervise graduate students at the Ph.D. level. We anticipate a start-date date as early as 1 July 2022. The successful candidate will be tenured in the department most closely associated with their research, teaching, and training.
