Studio North, JHU’s only student-run film production company and film studio, premiered the films from its first grant cycle: Max Bowens’ Motorcycle Memories (the story of a young man’s search for his mother) and Andrea Massaro’s Bernard Died (the story of a boy dealing with the death of both his grandmother and his beloved goldfish).
The red carpet event had more than 300 attendees, and was a perfect kickoff for Studio North’s mission of promoting new, fresh, and distinctive student filmmaking at JHU. SN is so proud of its first awardees, and wishes them well post-graduation! The next grant cycle’s winners for 2015–2016 were also announced.
