Adam Rodgers<\/a>, a Baltimore native who has been teaching screenwriting for the Program in Film & Media Studies since spring 2018, has been named the Program\u2019s Director beginning July 1, 2021. Adam received his undergraduate education at Duke University and went on to earn an MFA at New York University\u2019s Graduate Film Program. During his 20+ years in Los Angeles, Adam sold spec scripts and pitches to Universal, Fox and Sony, among others, adapted an L.A. Times article into the television sports drama\u00a0Racing For Time<\/em>, co-wrote and directed the theatrical feature\u00a0At Middleton<\/em>\u00a0starring Andy Garcia and Vera Farmiga, was shortlisted for an Academy Award for Best Live-Action Short Film, and had his work\u00a0selected for inclusion in the permanent Core Collection of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences’ Margaret Herrick Library.\u00a0He is currently in production directing the short-form comedy web series\u00a0Turf Valley<\/em>, shot entirely in his neighborhood in Ellicott City, MD.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
