Topics covered included pitching, staffing, and adaptation &#8211; and how to enjoy the ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms. Rosenzweig got her Writing Seminars degree from The Johns Hopkins University and began her career as a journalist in Manhattan, as a writer and editor at\u00a0<em>The Forward<\/em>\u00a0newspaper,\u00a0<em>Allure<\/em>\u00a0magazine and Deputy Editor of Sunday Styles at\u00a0<em>The New York Times<\/em>. She jumped from journalist to entrepreneur with the bestselling\u00a0<em>Swell Girl\u2019s Guides<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 co-written with her friend and fashion designer Cynthia Rowley \u2013 that spawned a line of clothing, accessories and d\u00e9cor for Target.\u00a0\u00a0When the\u00a0<em>Swell<\/em>\u00a0books were optioned by ABC, Ilene moved to Los Angeles and began her television career.
