Peter Carey is one of three writers in history to have won the Booker Prize twice, first for Oscar and Lucinda<\/em> and then for True History of the Kelly Gang<\/em>. His Parrot and Olivier in America<\/em> was shortlisted for the both the Man Booker Prize and the National Book Award.  <\/p>\n

Born in Australia, Peter Carey lives in New York City. <\/p>\n
