\t\t\t\t\t The Alexander Grass Humanities Institute and Departments of Modern Languages & Literatures, English, and Comparative Thought & Literature welcome Anna Kornbluh (University of Chicago) to the Johns Hopkins campus on Sept. 9th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n Anna Kornbluh<\/strong>‘s research and teaching interests center on the novel, film, and cultural aesthetics in theoretical perspective, including formalist, marxist, and psychoanalytic approaches. \u00a0She is the author of\u00a0Immediacy, Or, The Style of Too Late Capitalism<\/a>\u00a0(Verso 2024),\u00a0The Order of Forms: Realism, Formalism, and Social Space<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>(University of Chicago 2019), \u00a0Marxist Film Theory and Fight Club<\/a><\/em>\u00a0(Bloomsbury “Film Theory in Practice\u201d\u00a0series, 2019), and\u00a0Realizing Capital: Financial and Psychic Economies in Victorian Form<\/em>\u00a0(Fordham UP 2014). \u00a0Essays on climate aesthetics, tv, academic labor, and psychoanalysis have appeared in venues like\u00a0The Chronicle of Higher Education<\/em>,\u00a0The Los Angeles Review of Books<\/em>,\u00a0Public Books<\/em>,\u00a0Diacritics<\/em>,\u00a0Differences<\/em>, and\u00a0Portable Gray<\/em>. \u00a0She is a member of the UIC United Faculty bargaining team and the editorial boards of\u00a0Novel, Mediations, Genre,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Parapraxis<\/em>, as well as the founding\u00a0facilitator of\u00a0InterCcECT<\/a>\u00a0(The Inter Chicago Circle for Experimental Critical Theory), and a partner in\u00a0Humanitiesworks.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n Grad Workshop<\/em><\/strong>*
