Ralph Hubbell<\/strong> is a translator of Turkish literature. His translations and other writings have appeared in the Sun\u00a0Magazine, Words Without Borders, Los Angeles Review of Books, Tin House\u2019s Lost & Found, Asymptote, and elsewhere. He has translated work by Melisa Kesmez, Muzaffer Kale, Nazl\u0131 Karab\u0131y\u0131ko\u011flu, O\u011fuz Atay and Peyami Safa. His first book-length translation, O\u011fuz Atay\u2019s Waiting for the Fear<\/em>,\u00a0appeared with NYRB Classics in 2024; his translation of Peyami Safa\u2019s 1929 novel The Ninth Surgical Ward<\/em> will\u00a0appear with Thousand Horseman Press in 2026.<\/p>\n
