Faculty Friday with Dr. Steven David

Faculty Friday with Dr. Steven David

The International Studies Leadership Committee hosted its first Faculty Friday lunch of the semester with Dr. Steven David, Professor of Political Science. Dr. David began by discussing his research, explaining the time he spent living in Africa inspired him to work to modify international relations theories in order to account for the developing world. He then opened the conversation to discuss student research and activities. Throughout the lunch, Dr. David and students conversed about topics ranging from free speech on college campuses, fake news, the recent decision of law schools to allow the GRE in addition to the LSATs, and space regulatory politics.

Faculty Friday lunches provide small groups of International Studies majors the opportunity to interact with professors on an informal level in a casual environment. The ISLC will be hosting two more lunches this semester.
