US-Latin American Relations Under the Trump Administration

Michael Shifter

March 6 @ 5:30 pm 6:30 pm

Location: Hackerman Hall B17

Michael Shifter (former President of the Interamerican Dialogue) will discuss with Inés Valdez, JHU Department of Political Science, the likely outlines of U.S. Latin American relations in the Second Trump administration. The conversation will revolve around how the dramatic changes in trade, migration, and aid police promised or already implemented by Trump will affect Latin American countries’ political and economic dynamics and how the diverging ideological orientations of Latin American heads of state may shape bilateral relations.

This event is co-sponsored by the Program in International Studies.
