Islamic Studies is partnering with American Muslim Health Professionals (AMHP) to mobilize students and recent graduates to address vaccine hesitancy and access in underrepresented communities, with an emphasis on working with religious and faith-based community organizations. This initiative is supported by Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC)’s Faith in the Vaccine program. Each participating student or recent graduate will serve as a Vaccine Ambassador, a critical stakeholder in an educational outreach project that they will design and complete by Dec. 31, 2021, in partnership with AMHP and a local community, and with the mentorship of Dr. Ziad.
