Meet at the Front Steps of the Merrick Entrance\u00a0of the BMA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Experience an unforgettable evening with celebrated artist and poet Cecilia Vicu\u00f1a<\/strong> as she leads a participatory performance and reads from her new work, The Deer Book \/ Libro Venado<\/em> (Radius Books, 2024). Joined by award-winning poet and translator Daniel Borzutzky<\/strong>, Vicu\u00f1a offers a meditative tribute to the deer, imagining it as a creature that moves between worlds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Please note that this performance will take place in Stony Run Park. Participants will meet at the BMA and walk together to the performance site, which is less than a 15 minute walk from the Museum. The park location will require walking down a hill; accessible viewing will be available from the sidewalk above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Presented in partnership with the Johns Hopkins University Alexander Grass Humanities Institute, the Program in Latin American, Caribbean, and Latinx Studies, and the Tidewater Initiative.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
