Nicholas Gilson ’11 (Earth and Planetary Sciences) has designed a new type of snowboard and launched a company called Gilson American Snowboards, located in central Pennsylvania. Gilson says the goal of his company is to employ the woodworking heritage of the region with the precision of modern technology. said: “Gilson and their visionary leader, Nick Gilson, have come up with some great, dare we say, revolutionary ideas.”

Eva Chen ’01 (English), former editor-in-chief of Lucky magazine, has been named head of fashion partnerships for Instagram, a platform on which she already has close to 400,000 followers. A spokeswoman from Instagram made an official statement: “Eva understands all sides of the fashion community—from the craft of couture to street style, style icons to aspiring models, and storied fashion houses to emerging designers.”

Scott Rogowsky ’07 (Political Science) is celebrating the eighth season of his acclaimed live comedy show Running Late, featuring his father, Marty, as sidekick, in various New York locales. He started the show in 2011, and the offbeat show has attracted such well-known guests as Jerry Springer, Jon Hamm, Cecily Strong, Morgan Spurlock, and headliner Amy Sedaris.
