Representing beliefs in a changing world

One constant of brain computation is that nothing is ever constant. As the state of the world changes the brain needs to constantly adapt to it at many different time scales. In this talk I will present two lines of work from my group that explore the circuit level correlates of adaptive behavior during visual perception and slow time scale contextual inference through a combination of theoretical modeling and direct links to experimental data.
