Good luck to Hannah Froehle (’13), who is beginning a Master’s in Economics and Management Sciences at the Humboldt University in Berlin. She graduated Hopkins with honors in German, for the thesis “Digging Beneath the Rubble: Ernst Jünger’s Kriegsmythos.”
Chaconne Martin-Berkowicz (’17) spent a month in Berlin this past summer sponsored by a Max Kade summer research grant. She found materials in various archives for her thesis “The allure of beauty and film stardom for women living during the Weimar Republic.”
Congratulations to John Schwarcz (’17), who received a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship for 2017-2018 to Saxony, Germany.
