The Spanish and Portuguese program is excited to announce a significant addition to our community through a collaborative effort between SAIS (School of Advanced International Studies), MLL-Spanish and Portuguese, and the Brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC) and CAPES (the Brazilian Agency for Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education). We are thrilled to welcome a Brazilian Leitor to our team, Alexroney Santos Oliveira.
Alexroney, who holds a Master’s degree in Linguistics with a specialization in the integration of new technologies in second language teaching, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our program. His work will serve as a vital bridge between SAIS and the Homewood campus, fostering deeper connections and expanding opportunities for collaboration between both campuses.
In his role, Alexroney will engage directly with Portuguese program students at both SAIS and the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences, leading activities that will enhance our educational offerings. His work will also include strategic partnerships with the Embassy of Brazil in Washington, D.C., further enriching the cultural and academic ties between our institutions and Brazil.
We are all incredibly excited to have Alexroney join our community, and we look forward to the contributions he will make in supporting our students and enhancing the cultural exchange between our academic institutions.
