Lauren Judy Reynolds, PhD, Presents Lecture on Jorge Amado’s Capitães da Areia

The Portuguese Program Speaker Series presents, “Rites of Passage and Belonging in Jorge Amado’s os Capitães da Areia,” a lecture by Lauren Judy Reynolds, PhD, assistant professor, University of North Alabama. The lecture will take place from 10-11:30 a.m., Friday, Sept. 21 in Hodson 203. Refreshments will be served.

The spring speaker series kicks off on March 26 with Dr. Talía Guzmán-González from the Library of Congress, discussing “Luso-Brazilian Treasures in the Nations Library.” Then, on April 23, hear Nicole Labruto from MIT talk about, “Nationalizing Nature.” Both events are 1-3 p.m. in the Sherwood Room of Levering Hall.
