All students who have previous knowledge of modern Hebrew and plan to continue learning modern Hebrew at Johns Hopkins university must take the departmental placement exam before registering for a modern Hebrew class. This exam is available online year round. However, for the most accurate placement recommendation, take it just before the semester you plan to study the language. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The exam covers vocabulary, listening and reading comprehension, and knowledge of grammatical forms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
To take Modern Hebrew Placement Test users must self-enroll in the Modern Hebrew placement site<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n If you do not have any Modern Hebrew Language skills in writing, speaking, or listening to reading, you are encouraged to register for Hebrew for Beginners – Elementary level I – AS.210.120 .01.
