Beyond the great food, the cultural immersion, and the wonderful caipirinhas, I was able to become closer with those that I went on the trip with. Brazil has an inherently intimate, friendly, and honest social culture where people hug, talk, and are in each others\u2019 spaces in the best possible way. Being there reaffirmed a little more of my communication style, given that in America the conversation, or \u201csmall talk,\u201d is usually superficial and stiff.
