His most recent translations are of Michael Lentz\u2019s <em>Schattenfroh<\/em> and Vladimir Sorokin\u2019s <em>The Sugar Kremlin<\/em> and <em>Blue Lard<\/em>. He is currently working on translations of Antonio Moresco, Stefano D\u2019Arrigo, Alberto Laiseca, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Eduard Limonov, and Louis-Ferdinand C\u00e9line. Max is the author of two novels, <em>The Abode<\/em> and <em>Progress<\/em>, as well as a collection of short stories, <em>The World.<\/em> He lives in Los Angeles, where, when he isn\u2019t writing,
