The Program in Museums and Society is hosting a community symposium, “Collections and Communities: Baltimore Today.” A panel of distinguished local museum professionals will discuss the challenges and opportunities museums face as they seek to make their collections more accessible, engaging, and relevant to local audiences. The discussion will have ample time for questions from the audience, as well as more informal conversation and “meet and greet” over refreshments. The symposium will be held on Friday, April 16, 2:30-5:30 p.m., at the Peabody Library. All interested museum professionals are welcome to attend, as well as Johns Hopkins faculty, staff, and students. We look forward to seeing you on the 16th.
