This new series series is designed for undergraduate students at Peabody, Krieger, and Whiting to hear and learn about the artistic endeavors, research, and other enriching work of faculty outside scheduled classroom lectures. “Counterpoint” will be an engaging and informal exchange of ideas.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In honor of Women’s History Month, the “Counterpoint” inaugural speaker will be Dr. Paula Maust on Sunday, March 21st from 6 to 7 p.m. EST. The event will be held via Zoom. The topic is “Expanding the Western Classical Music Canon: Correcting the Historical Narrative to Forge a Path Toward Inclusivity.” In her presentation, she will talk about an exciting website she has designed to broaden the range of composers offered in the study of music theory.
