The JHU postbac not only provided me with an excellent foundation in the sciences, but also helped me learn how to organize my time and accomplish multiple academic pursuits simultaneously. Upon starting medical school, I felt that I had an advantage compared to my peers due to my experiences in the JHU postbac.

My medical tutorial was with Dr. Maria Trent, who specializes in adolescent/young adult medicine at Hopkins. I worked directly with patients educating them on our study, and she supported me in developing my own project, which was a big part of my application to medical school.

The advising is phenomenal. The advisers have years of experience working with post-bacs and know the medical school application process inside and out. Their doors were always open, and I felt like I had access to them whenever I needed advice about anything—classes, medical school visits, my application, interviews, or even how to take advantage of all Baltimore has to offer.
