Our Students

Students come to our program from all regions of the country and represent a variety of colleges and universities. Whether they studied at large state universities or small liberal arts colleges, technical institutes or conservatories, post-bags fit right in at Hopkins. Their academic disciplines are equally broad and include both undergraduate and graduate studies in areas such as economics, psychology, anthropology, literature, engineering, history, gender studies, math, religion, and languages.

Many students have studied or worked abroad and bring a global perspective to their decision to enter medicine. Along with being scholars, our students have diverse experiences as athletes, visual artists and musicians, committed volunteers, and community activists. They have had careers in the non-profit world, including the Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, and Teach for America, as well as for-profit arenas such as finance and business. Students benefit from the wealth of experience and talent that they collectively bring to the program.
